Parker Hannifin has an immediate need for Industrial Maintenance Technicians. You will perform all maintenance duties necessary to the efficient operation of all equipment in the plant,as well as repair and maintain plant equipment in accordance with blueprints and building codes.

Perform all duties of a general maintenance mechanic.

Repair and maintain existing plant equipment.

Install new plant equipment.

Problem-solve and troubleshoot plant equipment.

Provide assistance to production on specific equipment problems and make recommendations where necessary.

Utilize correct safety practices while performing all duties.

Use proper lockout/tag out procedures.

Investigate and perform remedial changes to equipment exhibiting recurrent failures.

Demonstrate mechanical shop skills.

Know the function and maintenance requirements of plant equipment.

Advise Engineering and Maintenance Manager on potential equipment trouble and corrective actions necessary.

Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.

Continue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on-the-job training.

Arrange scheduling of equipment repairs with supervision.

Requisition needed repair parts.

Maintain spare parts stock organization and plant equipment history log.

Provide repairs at lowest cost consistent with good maintenance practices.

Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.

Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.

Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.

Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.

Maintain production schedules.

Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

Exhibit mechanical comprehension by performing specific maintenance duties full time for a period of three years.

Report directly to Maintenance Manager.Qualifications & Skills

Must pass pre-employment screening

Must be able to read:1)Machine Dial Gauges2)Drawings3)Precision Measuring Instruments

Ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to exert 20-100 lbs of force occasionally; 10-25 lbs frequently; and up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.

Ability to withstand high noise levels from operating machines and equipment

Ability to withstand physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels

Ability to work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)

Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis

High degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions

Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.Education & Experience

High school diploma required

Trade school, technical, or associate's degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial maintenance and 2 or more years of experience in industrial maintenance required

Technical training experience and/or training in repairs and maintenance of equipment.
