Are you a Customer Service Professional looking for a great opportunity?We are currently seeking an Customer Service Representative for our Columbia, SC Distribution Service Center. Reporting to the Distribution Service Center manager, the customer service representative interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and process requests directly from customers and outside sales representatives.

Coordinate delivery and pick up of customer orders.

Complete and submit contract forms for orders.

Provide information about products or services to customers in a timely manner.

Confer with customers to obtain details of complaints and collaborate with appropriate departments to ensure that appropriate changes are made to resolve customers' problems.

Track customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.

Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.

Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments.

Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess validity of complaints and to determine possible causes, such as extreme weather conditions that could cause delays in deliveries.

Provide excellent customer service.

Must be able to work overtime as required.

RequirementsNECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES:

1-3 years’ customer service experience in the fencing, building, construction materials, or other related industry required.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Ability to remain calm under pressure
