Job Role SummaryThe Contributions and Community Investments Program Manager develops and executes contributions and community investment strategies in support of ExxonMobil’s initiatives and projects managed by the Corporate Citizenship and Global Community Investments group, with special emphasis on signature ExxonMobil or ExxonMobil Foundation initiatives and/or other key program focus areas.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop contributions strategies, budgets and implementation measures for existing and potentially new programs primarily associated with ExxonMobil’s key focus areas of interest

Work with ExxonMobil corporate and Foundation grantees to help ensure beneficial, impactful outcomes

Develop and cultivate relationships and programs with effective nonprofit partners

Advise ExxonMobil business lines, affiliates and support functions on best practices and priority investments

Work with Public & Government Affairs advisors to develop and implement plans to appropriately communicate about ExxonMobil’s charitable investments in key focus areas

Participate in or provide support for conference panel discussions and other relevant public events, as appropriate

Prepare briefing materials for internal meetings and for ExxonMobil executives who participate in external events

Manage changing priorities and/or external events

Ensure Public & Government Affairs service/products are of high quality and advance company or foundation objectives

Prioritization/delegation skills - Prioritize work demands from multiple portfolios and/or clients

Negotiation/influencing skills - Ensure that cross-functional issues are adequately considered/managed and supported with integrated program planning and communications efforts

Business/industry knowledge; firm understanding of issues and opportunities facing energy industry

Sophisticated awareness of global and cultural sensitivities

Meaningful experience with nongovernmental organizations, community relations and grant management

Qualification RequiredBachelor’s degree required; master’s degree desirable

Strong proficiency in the English language; knowledge of other languages desirable, but not essential

Prior Experience10+ years of broad-based business and public affairs experience and knowledge

5+ years of experience with nonprofit program and grant management

Effective in working with senior management

Communications, government and/or public policy experience a plus
