Camera Prep Technician Rental House

Greenwood Cine is an NYC-based rental house for professional motion picture camera and lighting equipment seeking a Camera Prep Technician for our Brooklyn, NY location.

This position is full-time - one major benefit is free weekend rentals of items <25k from our inventory - http://greenwoodcine.com - a trial period is required for this position.

The role of the Camera Prep Technician is an integral role within our team. You will provide an efficient, positive experience with clients while assisting them with their camera order preparation. You will have a proficient understanding of cinema equipment and lenses, working under our camera dept manager. You will provide excellent customer service and support to new and returning clients alike, along with working with the rest of the Greenwood staff to assist in providing an overall superior customer experience.

We are looking for someone with experience at previous rental houses or the film industry. We are stationed at a 5000 sqf facility which will be expanding this yearand will need a camera prep technician who will be eager to grow the business with us. This job could offer after hours or weekend work along with proper overtime compensated. Our team is excited to welcome an diligent individual who can multitask and communicate with multiple departments in an efficient way.

Responsibilities:

Supervise checking out camera packages and all other rented equipment

Accurately and efficiently preparing camera equipment and accessories

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment during preps

Have a strong Quality Control background to check systems

Have a proficient knowledge of cinema camera systems and lenses

Skills:

On-set experience as a Camera Assistant or a Camera Prep Technician at a Rental House or Production Co

Extensive knowledge of and experience with digital cinema cameras such as ARRI, Sony, Canon Cinema Cameras

Extensive knowledge of and experience with digital cinema accessories such as Teradek, SmallHD, ARRI, Sachtler, O'Connor, Tilta, etc

Possess fantastic organization skills and attention to detail

Willingness to work after hours until job is complete

Strong multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure

Possess great customer service skills (efficient response time, polite, resourceful and dilligent)

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Acrobat, etc

1-2 Years of experience preferred
