The Prep Cook reports to the Executive Chef. The work schedule varies according to the events schedule.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain ServSafe certification
Promote and exemplify workplace and food safety
Interact with guests and staff with a positive attitude and in a friendly, professional, and caring manner. Warmly
greeting guests when they enter the dining areas
Washing, drying and re-stocking dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc.
Restocking dining room amenities
Constant cleaning of all dining areas, work areas and equipment utilizing daily cleaning checklist
Prepare salads, dressings, desserts, entree ingredients, snack trays and beverages
Ensure meals are out on time, every time
Work in other departments during slow periods as assigned, cross-training will be provided accordingly.
Skills and requirements:
ServSafe certification
Minimum of 2 years’ culinary education or experience and knife skills
High School diploma or additional 1 year culinary experience
Hospitality experience desired
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Punctual and reliable
Dependable transportation
Trustworthy
Ability to use e-mail
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Neat appearance, with appropriate clean uniform and GH name badge to be worn at all times
Available to work a flexible schedule of any/all daytime, evening & weekend shifts
