We are looking for a candidate that has hotel experience to work on our team here at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel. We are looking to fill a position for a night auditor / front desk agent. 2 night audit shifts and 3 daytime front desk shifts. Pay will vary depending on the shift. Please see the duties below for more information.

NIGHT AUDITOR

Maintain high quality of guest service by accommodating guest requests and concerns as they arise throughout the shift. To provide support to all Front Office functions, must be knowledgeable of Opera, Reservations, and Concierge. Ensure that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Adhere to Miyako Hybrid Hotel policies and procedures to maintain the level of service in all phases of the front office.

Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.

Complete shift checklist.

Demonstrate knowledge of operations for hotel outlets, tenants, and daily functions.

Know the hotel’s unique features being “Hybrid” and products and services.

Answer the phone calls within 3 rings. Transfer the callers to the guest rooms. Assist the callers with inquiries.

Greet guests using their name, smile, and make eye contact.

Check in and out in a timely manner.

Communicate effectively with all departments.

Ensure that all guest expectations are met. Follow up with any guest concerns.

Escort the guests when necessary.

Create reservations.

Post charges, compute bill, collect payments and makes changes when necessary.

Print reports and take care of distribution to appropriate departments.

Maintain cashier bank without overage or shortage.

Write incident reports immediately.

Balance the accounts from day shift.

Scheduling wake-up calls

Ensure that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments.

Create Daily Revenue Report and Line-up packet accurately.

Work closely with overnight security guards.

Maintain expected attendance and punctuality

Maintain a safe work environment. Report all maintenance issues immediately.

FRONT DESK AGENT

Maintains high quality of guest service by accommodating guest requests and concerns as they arise throughout the shift. In order to provide support to all Front Office functions, must be knowledgeable of Opera, PBX, Reservations, and Concierge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Adhere to AAA “Four Diamond” level of service in all phases of the front office.

Complete shift checklist.

Knowledgeable with the hotel being “Hybrid”.

Knowledgeable of the hotel being Silver LEED and what that means.

Knowledgeable with the amenities and features in the room.

Knowledgeable with the hotel outlets.

Respond to guests’ request in a timely manner.

Maintain radio communication at all times.

Greeting all guest, following the 10-5 rule.

Checks guests in and out in timely fashion with outgoing four-diamond level of service.

Greets, registers and assigns guest rooms. Greet using name, smile, and make eye contact.

Communicate effectively in a professional manner to all departments.

Ensure that all guest expectations are met by following up with their check in and requests.

Logging all guest request, opportunities, and check-ins.

Issues room key and escort instructions to bellmen.

Escorts guest when required.

Creating reservations when required.

Computes bill, collects payments and makes changes for guest.

Makes and confirms reservations.

Posts charges such as room and incidental charges.

Maintains knowledge of daily activities in the hotel.

Prints reports and takes care of distribution to proper departments.

Constantly answers telephones for various inquiries. (3 rings)

Demonstrates knowledge of operations for tenants and hotel outlets.

Maintains professional attitude with guests, co-workers and management.

Maintains cashier bank without overage or shortage.

Transfers calls to rooms and helps guests with phone inquiries.

Attends daily, weekly and monthly meetings as required.

Maintains working knowledge of Hotel Safety and Evacuation Plan.

Promotes teamwork within department and among all hotel staff.

Supports and implements the Hotel-wide procedures and Local Department procedures.

Supports and implements four-diamond level of service.

Reports to station, ready to work at the time tour of duty is scheduled to begin.

Knows and understands the hotel policy that regular attendance and punctuality is expected of all employees.

Assists with other tasks as requested.

Perform their duties in a safe manner. Maintain a safe work environment. Correct safety issues; immediately report all maintenance issues.

Write incident reports immediately.

Package responsibilities.

Dry cleaning procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum 1 year of night audit experience is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS (ENGLISH) Japanese Speaking a plus

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
