Marketing Specialist / Sales Engineer (trainee)

This is a part-time, hybrid (flex) position that starts at $30 per hour. You’ll work part-time on site and optionally, also remotely from your home. STEM students at either the college or graduate level are encouraged to apply.

In this role you will:

Study to become familiar with our unique market segment profile

Assist in the development and preparation of targeted advertising strategies

Respond to customer enquiries (both domestic and international) by email

Receive training on the underlying complex mechatronic technology found in our product, so you can knowledgeably explain its benefits to customers

Assist on the factory floor (as a technician trainee) to become familiar with the actual construction of our product

Appear as host-presenter in our in-house produced YouTube educational videos

Attend trade shows (typically no more than three per year) as the company spokesperson demonstrating the end use of our product

Walk customers through their entire purchase experience

Earn generous commissions on your sales

Compensation: This position starts at $30 per hour. Your potential commission earnings on sales will be additional and can be substantial.

outstanding verbal and written communication skills

STEM background or interest

talent, confidence and poise in public speaking

ability to carefully listen to and understand each customer’s unique requirements

fluency in German or French

appreciation for the world of music
