A Cabinet Maker operates a variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate wood and Plywood cabinets and high-grade furniture using sustainable materials and environmental sensitive supplies.

Essential Job Functions:

Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications.

Attach parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, biscuits, dominoes, nails, screws, or clamps.

Match materials for color, grains, or textures, giving attention to knots or other features of the wood.

Bore holes for insertion of screws or biscuits, by hand or using boring machines.

Job Requirements:

A strong candidate for this position is someone who has at least two years’ experience in the woodworking, professional cabinetmaking.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Punctuality. Arrive to work 2-5 minutes prior to the start time every day.

Prolonged periods of standing, moving to station to station, loading, and bending.

Problem Solving Skills

May lift up to 80 lbs. and/or move up to 80 lbs.

Maintenance and cleaning of the facility, it's surroundings and vehicles.

Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, shop drawings, and models.
