Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The Legal Secretary will provide administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the law office. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duties:

- Maintain client confidentiality

- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, taking messages and managing correspondence

- Request medical bills and records

- Assist with client intake and interview process

- Maintain and organize legal files, documents and work space

- Schedule appointments, meetings, and Court hearings

- Facilitate communication between clients and insurance companies to aid in financial recovery

- Prepare and transcribe legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings

- Assist with legal drafting and proofreading documents

- Coordinate with other legal professionals and staff members to ensure efficient workflow

-Perform legal research and gather evidence in support of clients.

Skills:

- Proficient in using Microsoft WORD

- Excellent file management skills with attention to detail

- Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately

- Strong clerical skills including typing, data entry, and record keeping

- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Strong interviewing skills for client intake process
