Engineer, SoftwareReq ID: 76852Location:Ashburn, Virginia, United StatesIn our 'always on' world, we believe it's essential to have a genuine connection with the work you do.We are seeking a highly skilled and expert Principal Database Architect to join our small team with dynamic strengths.How You'll Help Us Connect the World:The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting, implementing, and maintaining the data architecture for our internal and external applications hosted on AWS. This role focuses primarily on schema design, dedication, reliability, and scalability. The Principal Data Architect will collaborate closely with our development team to drive standard methodologies in data management and architecture, ensuring the robustness and efficiency of our systems.Required Qualifications for Consideration:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 12 or more years of proven proficiencies, including:

Strong experience with databases (at least one of Sybase, Oracle or PostgreSQL), tools and methodologies including stored procedures, triggers, operational automation, and modern data analytics techniques.

Solid understanding of backups, restores, recovery models, database mirroring, and replication.

Demonstrates a desire to understand the company’s businesses and develop database solutions that optimize efficiency.

Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL statements

Experience in software development life cycles such as Agile.

Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems both on-premise and in the cloud. and web browser-based and stand-alone applications that support high user concurrency.

Other software experience: Visio, Erwin, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Java and 3rd party DBA tools and applications.

Enthusiastic about learning the requirements of other databases outside of current skill set as the need arises.
