The OpportunityReporting to the Global Head Legal Operations, you will develop and implement strategies to capture, manage, and share legal knowledge across the organization. Your role will ensure that our legal team operates efficiently and remains up to date with the latest legal trends, technologies, and best practices.The RoleAs the Knowledge Management Lead, you ensure that the legal department's collective knowledge, expertise, and best practices are captured, organized, and made accessible. You will foster a culture of knowledge-sharing, ensuring that legal professionals and business stakeholders can quickly access the information they need, thereby driving efficiency, consistency, and collaboration across the department.Responsibilities:

Establish operational plans for knowledge management and lead large, complex project initiatives

Drive the strategy of the Inhouse Legal University and implement educational programs to enhance the legal team’s knowledge and use of knowledge management tools

Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge management system for the legal department

Advocate for the value of knowledge management within the department and broader organization

Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration within the legal department

Stay up to date with legal industry developments and integrate relevant information into the knowledge base

Oversee the capture of tacit knowledge and conversion into explicit resources, such as knowledge articles, documents, and procedures

Collaborate with legal professionals and business leaders to identify knowledge gaps and create content to address these needs

Collaborate with I&T and tech teams to ensure the integration of knowledge management tools and platforms within the department

Stay updated on emerging technologies in the knowledge management space and assess their potential applicability

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and make data-driven improvement decisions

Engage with multiple departmental teams and stakeholders to gather feedback on the knowledge management system, identifying areas for improvement or expansion

Develop and maintain guidelines, protocols, and best practices for knowledge contribution and retrieval

Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the department

Continuously research and explore new and innovative ways to enhance knowledge management capabilities and improve user experience

Your skills and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Management, or related field. A Juris Doctor or equivalent is preferred

Experience with knowledge management software and collaborative tools

Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry preferred

7+ years of experience managing knowledge management initiatives in a corporate legal environment

Experience with legal processes and terminology

Strong leadership and strategic planning skills

International travel up to 10% may be required
