Residential Construction Company seeking to fill Lead Carpenter Position (Portland Metro)

Well-established high-end residential construction company in Portland is looking for a qualified Lead Carpenter.

Job Title/Description:
Lead Carpenter
-Leads and supervises field carpenters, skilled/unskilled workers, and subcontractors.
-Directly manages day-to-day scope completion, materials/inventory control, site logistics, and safety compliance.
-Performs a variety of skilled carpentry tasks (listed below). Reports directly to the Project Supervisor.
Skills required:
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Residential Framing and Carpentry
- Grading, elevations and layouts (per plan)
- WRB and Rain screen installation
- Exterior Siding and Trim
- Door/Window and related hardware installation
- Interior trim, Cladding and Wall paneling
- Bath accessories installation
Other requirements:
-10+ years of New or Remodel Residential Construction experience
- Physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Proficiency in navigating and utilizing job tracking/documentation applications
- Be punctual and work smart
- Be willing to mentor and train less experienced carpenters and laborers
- Have a valid Driver's License, safe driving history, and reliable work vehicle
- Own basic carpentry tools and rain gear
- Speak, read, and write in English
- Pass a criminal background check
You must have verifiable residential carpentry experience with one or more licensed contractors
and meet all listed requirements, in order to be considered for this position.
Compensation:
$35.00 + per hour, DOE
Schedule:
- Monday thru Friday; (5) 8 hr days
- No nights/weekends
