Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. Based in Los Angeles, California, this role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.Responsibilities: Perform account, balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Maintain and update general ledger regularly Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks Monitor financial transactions and reports to identify and resolve discrepancies Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes Maintain confidentiality of all financial data Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance Assist in other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry Significant experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Proven expertise in managing general ledger and preparing journal entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with the month-end close procedure Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
