Swimming Pool Company Service & Maintenance Technicians

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Oasis Pool Service, a leader in the pool and spa industry, is located in Waldwick, NJ. We provide all types of services for inground swimming pools, including openings and closings, weekly maintenance, equipment repairs and replacements, new equipment installations, automation systems, leak detection, liner replacements, pool renovations and new pool builds. We are looking for a Service Technician and a Maintenance Technician to join our team of dedicated, customer service oriented, hard-working employees.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN JOB POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Expert knowledge in the opening and closing of in-ground swimming pools, including those with intricate amenities and features, and water chemistry

Ability to install/diagnose/repair pool pumps, filters, heaters and automation systems

Experience in programming and troubleshooting automation systems

Must be able to trouble shoot and properly diagnose equipment issues (pumps, heaters, etc) and relay the associated options to the customer in a professional manner, while ensuring that all repairs and installations are done accurately and that materials used and workmanship meet the requirements of applicable technical/safety standards and regulatory codes

Must be able to lead a 2- or 3-man crew

Have experience in plumbing pools

Able to backwash and disassemble/clean out pool filters

Able to properly and neatly fill out daily work orders, customer door hangers and inventory sign out sheets

Exemplify desire to increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external)

Maintain a clean and orderly work vehicle, including properly stocking with materials and tools required for each day’s job assignments

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge in vacuuming, brushing, testing and chemically treating pools and spas

Ability to perform minor repairs on pool equipment

Ability to backwash and disassemble/clean out pool filters

Ability to properly and neatly fill out daily work orders and door hangers left for customers

Maintain a clean and orderly work vehicle, including properly stocking with materials and tools required for each day’s job assignments

SERVICE TECHNICIAN & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN COMPETENCIES

Thorough knowledge of residential pool services

Well organized and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Detail oriented

Desire to provide accurate results while maintaining high customer service satisfaction

Ability to build trust, with both co-workers and customers

Clean appearance, positive attitude, politeness, and timeliness are musts

MUST have: Clean driving record and valid driver's license

This is a full time, seasonal position. Overtime available. Unemployment available in the off-season.

Daily Start Time: 7:00am

Work Week: Monday through Friday. Saturdays are required during April, May, June, September and October

Compensation: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on position and experience

Job Type: Full-time, minimum 40 hrs/week. Overtime at 1.5 times hourly rate.
