Position Overview:

As a Derrick Digger Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our operations, utilizing specialized equipment to facilitate the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient execution of tasks while adhering to regulatory standards and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate Derrick Digger equipment in a safe and efficient manner to perform tasks such as digging, lifting, and positioning utility poles, transformers, and other equipment.

- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance.

- Collaborate with crew members to coordinate tasks and optimize workflow.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and job site activities.

- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

- Previous experience operating Derrick Digger equipment preferred.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to equipment operation.

- Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

- Physical stamina and dexterity required to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and repetitive motion.
