Valley Pacific Construction is seeking a Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

We are a family-owned heavy construction earthwork contractor with 50 years of successful projects in the Pacific Northwest serving the greater Portland and surrounding areas

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Perform service maintenance for heavy civil construction machinery and/or related equipment or components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical, computer, and structural repairs including welding

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide quality repairs on construction equipment

- Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees

- Work is based out of our service shop located in Donald, OR but may require occasional field repairs on job sites

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have 5+ years of mechanical experience in construction equipment or heavy diesel equipment with hydraulic and electrical experience

- CDL, Valid drivers license, and clean driving record

- Possess tooling required to rebuild and repair heavy construction equipment

- Ability to troubleshoot machine breakdowns, diagnose, and provide repairs

- Test drive and/or inspect vehicles and equipment for wear, damage, or specific problems that might affect performance

- Ability to utilize computer diagnostic equipment

- Perform factory-recommended preventative maintenance and inspection

- Electric diagnosis and troubleshooting and reading diagrams

- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines and hydraulics

- Ability to weld

- Must possess a complete set of tools

- Experience repairing the following equipment: Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Scrapers, Skid-steers, Wheel loaders, Backhoes, and Heavy Trucks
