Position: Consumer Product Content Specialist

Status: Full-time Employee

We are the renowned leader in the general merchandise industry and supply our products to chain stores, gift shops, and discount stores offline and online. Our brand name licensed characters and private label products are sourced locally and internationally. Our customers are likewise located within the United States as well as overseas. We stock over 10,000 carefully selected items covering over 50 different categories.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Product Content Specialist to join our team. This essential role involves managing and updating product information, brands, attributes, licensed characters, and category assignments. We aim to ensure our product listings are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with market trends, seasonal variations, and our customers' business types.

Key Responsibilities:

Updating and maintaining product attributes and information to ensure data accuracy.

Managing brand-specific details and ensuring consistency across all listings.

Managing licensed character products.

Assigning products to appropriate categories based on market research and customer preferences.

Tracking and analyzing seasonality trends to optimize product listings and promotions.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product visibility and sales performance.

Understanding and aligning product offerings with various customer business types.

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience in product merchandising, preferably in the consumer products industry.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in data management systems and product information management tools.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge of e-commerce and web technologies is a plus.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the purchasing team, sales teams, and store managers to ensure alignment on merchandising

goals.

Provide training and guidance to store staff on effective merchandising techniques.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in retail merchandising, preferably in the consumer products industry.

Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
