Busy construction company looking for experienced payroll / human resources manager. We are looking to add to our team as our business grows. This position will be responsible to supervise the payroll department employees and to work directly with employees on human resources matters. Must have prior experience as a human resources manager in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
Strong accounting skills & attention to detail
Organized, self starter, able to follow company procedures & instructions
Proficient Excel user including creating and editing spreadsheets with complex formulas
Prior hands on experience with payroll taxes and reporting
Prior hands on experience with public works & certified payroll
Prior hands on experience with processing payroll checks & direct deposit
Knowledge of health insurance procedures and best employment practices
Construction accounting software experience (Computer Ease preferred)
Duties:
Supervise payroll department employees
Oversee weekly payroll entry into online payroll time entry system
Create weekly payroll reports in Excel for management review
Review weekly payroll and verify it is correct with management
Certified payroll reports
Weekly tax deposits and quarterly tax reporting
Oversee the new hire process to ensure compliance with company procedures
Insurance enrollments and administration
Worker's Comp reporting and administration
Pay rate $1200 - $1500 per week depending on experience
