Job Title: Utility Construction Lineman/Foreman

Starting Wage $25.00 - $40.00+ Hourly DOE. Location: Gresham OR

We are a utility construction company that works in the Portland metro and surrounding areas. Most of the time our workers are home nightly with rare exceptions.

The Utility Construction Lineman/Foreman is a full-time hourly position that is a leadership role within the company. The Lineman/Foreman performs tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and leads their crew in the task assigned by the supervisor. This position is pivotal in the construction of new and existing overhead and underground communication lines.

Responsibilities:

All phases of telecommunication construction including placing poles, anchors and guy wires, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable (short distances), pulling underground fiber and cables, call outs.

Possess a valid driver’s license with a decent driving record.

Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment.

Must have a positive attitude.

Arrive on time daily, check in with the Supervisor.

Help improve crew, be a team player, set personal goals.

Lead in daily pre-trip of trucks and trailers, onsite tailgate safety meetings.

Help load all material, tools, and equipment.

Instruct laborers/groundman in daily duty's weather oral & written.

Maintain good communication and lead all crew members.

Follow all on-site safety procedures.

Provide As build’s and notes on jobs in progress or completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).

Job Title: Utility Construction Groundman

Starting Wage $20.00- $30.00 Hourly DOE. Location: Gresham OR

The Utility Construction Groundman position is a learning position that WILL have ability to promote within the company. This position will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and will assist in the construction of new and existing overhead and underground communication lines. The Groundman will assist the Foreman as assigned. Raises are given depending on performance.

Responsibilities:

Possess a valid driver’s license

A decent driving record is required (need to be able to insure you).

Arrive on time daily, check in with Foreman/ supervisor.

Help improve crew, be a team player, set personal goals.

Clean out garbage, check fluids, grease equipment, load material

Maintain professionalism and positive attitude

Participate in daily pre-trip of trucks and trailers, onsite tailgate safety meetings,

Help load & clean all material, tools, and equipment

Follow oral & written instructions

Maintain good communication with Lead and all crew members

Follow all on-site safety procedures

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).

Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry or similar trade.
