Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager based in Jacksonville, Florida. The main function of this role is to ensure accurate employee costing and accounting elements in payroll systems and ensure they integrate correctly to the general ledger. This role exists within the telecom industry and is a contract opportunity.Responsibilities Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure accurate setup of employee costing and accounting elements in the HCM payroll system and their correct integration to the general ledger Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department and drive change Ensure compliance of accounting systems with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Implement new process improvement initiatives and integrate new businesses as needed Assume ownership of various processes and reports Develop an in-depth understanding of multiple ERP instances, COAs, and Lines of Business Ensure a valid GL accounting string is attached to each new hire before entry into HCM (Oracle HRIS) Process transactions related to employee transfers across Lines of Business Research and answer variance analysis questions from FP& A related to compensation and benefit expenses Work directly with acquired businesses to ensure payroll accounting entries are appropriately processed in legacy ERPs Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts accurately and timely Assist with accounting system integration activities of newly acquired companies as needed, ensuring account and financial dimensions are transitioned appropriately Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Support the training and development of staff.For immediate consideration, please contact: Thomas Canary (contact information found on LinkedIn) and apply on the Robert Half Website Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Skilled in ERP Solutions Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) Ability to manage Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing Proficiency in Oracle Fusion HCM Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Proven experience as an Accounting Manager Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting Strong knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
