Accounting Manager

Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role will involve managing various accounting processes, improving departmental procedures, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, experienced professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, and business processes.Responsibilities: Liaise with HRIS team to ensure accurate employee costing and accounting elements in HCM payroll system and integration to the general ledger Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive change within the department Assist with ensuring accounting systems comply with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Implement new process improvement initiatives and integrate new businesses as required Take ownership of various processes and reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Develop an in-depth understanding of multiple ERP instances, COAs, and Lines of Business Maintain a service delivery culture for our internal business customers Review and monitor master data changes in HCM system to ensure accurate mapping to the general ledger Work with the business to attach a valid GL accounting string for each new hire before entry into HCM Understand and process transactions related to employee transfers across Lines of Business Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts accurately and timely Assist with accounting system integration activities of newly acquired companies, ensuring appropriate transition of account and financial dimensions Comply with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Support the training and development of staffFor immediate consideration, please contact: Thomas Canary (contact information found on LinkedIn) and apply on the Robert Half Website Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with ERP Solutions Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) Ability to handle various Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing Proficiency in Oracle Fusion HCM Experience with Oracle Fusion Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
