Commercial Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Handyman/Technician with expertise in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, exceptional craftsmanship, and a commitment to honesty, integrity, problem-solving, and the ability to think on their feet. This position is a full-time salaried position based out of Massachusetts but will require travel between Boston, New York, Washington DC and Chicago on a regular basis as needed. The company will also provide a van and pay for expenses such as gas, tolls and material. position based on the individuals performance and will involve performing a variety of tasks related to plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general maintenance for our commercial contracts.

Responsibilities:

- Perform plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks, including fixing leaks, replacing pipes, repairing fixtures, and ensuring proper functioning of plumbing systems.

- Carry out carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors and windows, building structures, repairing furniture, and completing general carpentry repairs.

- Handle electrical work, including troubleshooting, repairing or replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, and performing basic electrical installations.

- Conduct general maintenance duties, such as painting, drywall repair, HVAC filter replacement, minor appliance repairs, furniture assembly and other routine maintenance tasks as required.

- Conduct tiling tasks, such as installing and repairing tiles, grouting, and ensuring proper alignment and finish.

- Install, repair, or replace various types of flooring, including tiles, laminate, hardwood, or vinyl.

- Install appliances (dishwashers, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc)

- Assess issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide effective solutions in a timely manner, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and clients.

- Communicate effectively with clients, understand their requirements, provide updates on the progress of work, and address any concerns or questions professionally.

- Uphold honesty and integrity in all interactions, acting ethically and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

- Manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and complete projects within specified timelines, demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and organizational skills.

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent onvarioustasks for each service call.

- Willingness to travel as needed as we cover a large geographical area
