Established in 1958 and located in Charlotte, NC, D.R. Mozeley, Inc. is the expert in a convenience store and retail construction, petroleum installation and building construction services. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team. This person must have strong management skills to oversee the job site from start to finish.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all construction activities

Maintain and execute the project plan as laid out by the Project Manager, and schedule and ensure compliance with budget, schedule, plans, and specifications

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment by adhering to all safety practices and regulations; maintain record keeping requirements

Manage equipment, deliveries, waste hauling, etc.

Manage, store, and protect all on-site materials, tools, small and heavy equipment

Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities and owners

Advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties

Identify any issues or problems before they arise

Oversee quality control as determined both by industry standards and the expectations of our customers

Advanced knowledge of OSHA requirements and how to successfully execute an OSHA site visit.

Maintain written daily log reports and submit receipts and paperwork on a weekly basis

Coordinate routine inspections

Maintain accurately and up to date drawings

Engage and build relationships with our customers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

Requirements:

5+ years of field management experience in the commercial construction industry

Strong work ethic

Read and understand engineering and architect drawings as required

Ability to operate heavy equipment

Willingness to travel throughout the eastern U.S.

OSHA certified is a plus

Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, pass drug test, and background check
