Body Shop Production Assistant:

Our body shop is looking for the ideal candidate who will assist in various tasks within our shop environment, supporting the daily operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the workplace. We are highly team-oriented, so it is vital for our employees to be able to successfully work together. The ideal candidate must be driven and desire to transition into a more advanced role over time. Excellent attendance is imperative, if you are regularly late or miss work then please do not apply. Ideal candidate will:

Be task oriented, self motivated, and an efficient worker.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Have a valid driver's license.

Have strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Have the ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Have prior experience in a body shop setting [is preferred but not necessary.]

Have knowledge in various tool usage [hand tools, power tools etc]

Have a good attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Be able to job functions in indoor and outdoor environments.

This job is multi-faceted and your duties may include [but not limited to]:

Meticulously detailing vehicles for delivery.

Maintaining cleanliness of the shop throughout the day (i.e removing trash in and around the building, cleaning bathrooms, break room, shop and offices).

Assisting technicians, learning hands on as you help in auto body repair projects.

Moving cars around the shop, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is preferred.

Performing check-in inspections of vehicles dropped off for repairs including photographing and pre-washing. Perform pre and post repair scans when necessary.

Helping to maintain a clean/organized yard [landscaping, breaking down cardboard, broken parts in bins etc].

Completing closing procedures on a daily basis [securing all vehicles every night, closing down and securing the building etc.]

Safely transporting customers' vehicles to and from our facility.

Assisting with parts inventory management.

Mirror matching parts to vehicles.

Maintaining proper storage of parts.

Ability to diagnose defective products ensuring all parts and accessories meet quality standards.
