Specialized Staffing Solutions, Inc is looking to fill 2 Laborer positions at a rendering company!

We are seeking a Laborer to join our team at a rendering plant in Rockdale, IL! A successful Laborer is a solution-focused self-starter that can follow direction to effectively manage their production output in a safe and clean manner!

This rendering company is comprised of 2 operations: a grease processing facility and a bone and fat processing plant. As a Laborer - you will work directly with animal by-products, (bones, hides, fat and meat), to effectively manage inbound material, material processing and cooking, outbound material transfer, and cleaning.

This rendering environment requires employees to work in a greasy, hot environment with constant exposure to animal processing smells.

During training, employees will work on the 1st shift:

-7:00AM to 3:30PM. $17.15/hr.

Once training is completed, employees will be switched to 2nd/3rd shift:

-3:00PM to 11:30PM (+$0.25) = $17.40/hr.

-11:00PM to 7:30AM (+$0.40) = $17.55/hr.

Drug Screen & Background Check is required.

This is a temp-to-hire position after 60 days.

Job Responsibilities:

-Handle the unloading of raw materials, (animal bones and fats), into the plant.

-Transfer liquid material between tankers.

-Cooking, grinding, and pressing of animal byproduct.

-Work in a manual labor environment. (Frequent walking, standing, shoveling, crouching, etc.).

-Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

-Follow directions from shift supervisors and plant managers.

-Staying highly organized and self-motivated.

-Use effective problem-solving skills.

-Exhibit a willing-to-learn attitude.

-Follow company safety and compliance protocols and guidelines.
