Cafe Team Member - Barista, Acai Bowl, and Sandwich Specialist

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team for a new cafe opening soon in Haiku. You will play a crucial role in creating a delightful experience for our customers by preparing and serving high-quality coffee, acai bowls, and sandwiches. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Part-Time and Full-Time Positions Available

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages.

Create and serve acai bowls with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Assemble and prepare sandwiches, ensuring consistency and quality in every order.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cafe areas.

Assist with food prep and inventory management.

Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, answering questions, and handling transactions.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe.

Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or food preparation setting is required.

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and acai bowl assembly.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Barista certification or specialized training in coffee preparation.

Experience with eco-friendly practices and sustainability in food service.

Knowledge of local ingredients and a passion for promoting healthy, fresh food options.
