Description We are seeking a Sr. Accounting Manager to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, providing strategic guidance, and maintaining a sound, compliant, and experienced division of professionals. You will also collaborate with leadership throughout the company and maintain a deep understanding of revenue and cost drivers.Responsibilities: Oversee all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting. Provide strategic guidance on growth opportunities, operational excellence, and capital investment options to support strategic business objectives. Establish a proficient division of professionals capable of preparing, reviewing, and distributing comprehensive financial reports. Collaborate with peer leadership throughout the company, providing thorough analyses and forecasts to identify and engage in the most lucrative business relationships. Partner with senior management in financial planning and results management. Maintain a deep understanding of revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate methods to track and forecast results. Sustain an operational framework that executes accurate and compliant accounting practices. Implement financial reporting mechanisms that align with and drive growth and business objectives. Coordinate annual budget process and monthly & quarterly forecasts, including in-depth analysis and identification of corrective actions. Maintain systems, processes, and applications that streamline workflows, protect data integrity, and feed robust reporting requirements. Play a pivotal role in analyzing, critiquing, and supporting all viable M& A opportunities. Facilitate an ongoing, candid, and predictive flow of information to the leadership team in the process of producing and analyzing standard and ad hoc reports. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field. Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting is essential. Knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and procedures is required. Should have experience in Financial Planning and analysis. Familiarity with US GAAP standards is necessary. Experience in SOX or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is crucial. Must have experience in Month End Close procedures. Proficiency in General Ledger management is expected. Experience working with Oracle financial software is required.
