We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Architectural Metal CAD Designer to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

The Architectural Metal CAD Designer will be a vital part of our design and production team. This role involves creating and modifying detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. The ideal candidate is someone who can effectively coordinate with clients and vendors, prepare RFI’s accurately and in a timely manner, and report on site conditions through regular site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and prepare architectural metal drawings using AutoCAD and Rhino

-Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients to understand and meet their design requirements

-Prepare and submit RFI’s (Request for Information) as necessary

-Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met

-Conduct site visits to take field dimensions and report on site conditions

-Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet tight deadlines

-Maintain a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and problem-solving mentality

Qualifications:

Essential:

-Proficiency in AutoCAD

-Experience in producing architectural or architectural metal drawings

-Proficiency in Rhino (Rhinoceros)

-Strong ability to coordinate with clients and vendors effectively

-Proven experience in preparing RFI’s

Preferred:

-Minimum 5 years of professional CAD design experience, preferably in architectural metalwork

-Strong technical and design skills

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
