Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Dallas, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be part of a team handling a range of accounting functions, focusing on P& L management, cost control, financial reporting, and costings. The position is based in an industry that requires the use of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, General Ledger, Oracle, and Cost Accounting skills.Responsibilities: Implementing internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation Supervising the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets Ensuring the production of periodic financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards Coordinating the month end close process per the group calendar Reviewing the AP aging report and ensuring its timely processing Handling tax planning throughout the fiscal year and filing the annual corporate tax return Auditing accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Presenting financial recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies Providing financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements Overseeing cost control within multiple systems Implementing and reviewing the budget monthly with department heads Managing the inventory for obsolete and aging inventory and destruction in collaboration with the supply chain. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Strong knowledge of accounting functions and practices Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Expertise in Microsoft Excel Experience in managing Month End Close Familiarity with General Ledger Proficiency in Oracle Experience in Cost Accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
