Cocktail & Dinner Server - The Drunken Munkey

Now into our 11th year, The Drunken Munkey - an Anglo-Indian Cocktail Bar & Restaurant - is seeking an experienced server to join our team. We offer 3+ shifts per week, with flexible hours- providing you the opportunity to work and learn within a small and strong team setting. As a server at The Drunken Munkey, you will be a key player in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities -

- Greet and seat guests in a professional, friendly and welcoming manner.

- Take accurate drink and food orders, providing recommendations when necessary.

- Serve cocktails and beverages with attention to presentation.

- Deliver food orders to the correct tables in a timely fashion.

- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.

- Process payments accurately and efficiently.

- Set-up, breakdown and stocking of service stations - candles, roll-ups, glassware, coffee/tea, wines, etc.

Requirements -

- Fluent in English

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a restaurant/bar as a server (NYC exp. NOT a must)

- Caring and friendly personality with professional manners - among guests as well as co-workers.

- Polished and well groomed

- Knowledge of basic cocktails, wines and spirits.

- Practiced menu knowledge and the ability to upsell

- Organized, with the ability to work fast in a high volume environment, with a sense of teamwork and urgency.

- A strong focus on attention to detail
