Azure Reliability team is a multidisciplinary engineering organization part of CXP dedicated to making, “Azure the safest and most reliable Cloud”.We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Azure Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team; where we strive to improve reliability fundamentals via software engineering, preferring long-lasting platform improvements delivered as engineering projects over repetitive manual operations. We contribute to the product fundamentals and architecture, share knowledge, and code, and prefer reuse over re-invention, always looking for ways to make what we build useful to multiple teams and products.We are not looking for people who know it all, we are looking for people who want to learn it all. Drive and support the product quality and cybersecurity strategy for Cloud + AI services through portfolio management and ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Partner across multiple product groups and various levels of leadership to facilitate the process required to plan and execute engineering priorities aligned to the Cloud + AI quality and cybersecurity strategy.

Drive continuous improvement to customer and internal engineer experience via established project, program, process, and change management methodologies.

Quickly innovate and validate ideas through data and delivery of pilot programs and experiments.

Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify meaningful actions to improve delivery against the Cloud + AI quality and cybersecurity portfolio.

Establish closed loop processes and drive accountability through data driven progress tracking and stakeholder influence.

Apply systems thinking and standards approach to solve problems at scale, and through automation.  

Contribute to a healthy and inclusive team environment. 

Lead by example and mentor others.

Provided deep business and technical expertise as required to support strategy development.

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
