Law firm located in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary Legal Administrative Assistant to support the IP Litigation team for a maternity leave coverage. This position will start ASAP and will last for 6 months with flexibility to extend. This role is in office Tuesday - Thursday plus 1 additional day in office every other week. Hours 9:30am - 6:30pm, availability for OT as needed.Responsibilities: Maintain organized paper and electronic files; design and implement organizational systems where appropriateCoordinate and modify complex travel arrangements (including international) as directedPrepare expense reportsPhotocopy and scan materials as neededPrepare all materials related to the firm's billing process in an efficient, timely mannerMaintain calendars, schedule meetings, book conference rooms and make reservations as neededHandle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a professional manner and communicate messages accurately and in a timely mannerMaintain contact management system and manage contact communication processes as neededComplete daily diaries for timekeepers accurately and on timeType, prepare, revise and process legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, and occasional court documents using standard Microsoft Office productsProofread work products to ensure they are complete and accurateBecome familiar and stay up to date with firm policies, legal procedures, matters, and clients relevant to assigned practice area(s)Perform office duties as requestedOperate with discretion, professionalism, and courtesy at all times, particularly with sensitive or confidential informationParticipate in firm provided training programs and apply learned skills to work productsMaintain a neat, clean work areaQualifications: 2+ years of administrative support experience ideally out of a law firm environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver work in efficient and timely fashionAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointFamiliarity with formatting legal pleadings, drafting simple correspondence, and prior experience proofreading correspondence, memoranda, and pleadings is a plusStrong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skillsStrong client service orientationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to listen to others, follow instructions and accept feedbackAbility to work effectively with othersAbility to work independently and strong sense of accountabilityCompensation/Benefits: Up to $33/hr DOEBeacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
