Slice of Humboldt Pie - Baker

If you have at least 2 years of kitchen experience baking and/or cooking in a professional, fast paced kitchen and want to learn how to bake, send us your resume.

We are hiring Baker assistants or Bakers! This position will be at our Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka.

Culinary training is great but not required, It's gets pretty busy and we need you to know the basics around a kitchen. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO MULTIPLY or DECREASE RECEIPIES.

This position is a FAST PACED position. The Bake Assist and Baker position is responsible for making pie dough, the baking of pie crust, filling and lidding pot pies, crimping pie shells, making gluten free pie rounds, prepping, multiplying recipes, making of fillings, making/cutting and working with dough and any other bakery duties as needed. Basiclly making all types of pies!

Shifts - We are testing the start time. It would be no earlier than 5am.

We need someone to join our team that can: Be on time and with good attendance, Have good time management, Attention to detail and care for the food that we serve, Follow directions and follow all health and safety codes, Work in a clean manner and follow sanitation procedures, Must have a willingness to learn and have a good attitude.

You must be able to stand for your shift with breaks, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Managerial experience is a plus.

Individuals interested in being part of the team, must be able to work weekends, holidays and other special events (list below). Must be available all November and December and other special events, such as:

March 14th – PI Day

May – mid – Finals and HSU graduation

Labor Day weekend – Kinetic Race kick off

June – PRIDE and Oyster Fest

August – HSU Move in and HSU Start

November - Thanksgiving

December – Christmas
