Food Prep/Cook/Clean

Abacus Service Corporation is a temporary staffing company located in Southfield, MI. We have a new client that is looking for food industry experience to help out at seven Metro Detroit locations. The manager will provide you with all necessary information and training, letting you know what tasks are on your list when you arrive. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, they know this is your first time learning these roles! You can expect to be working on some of the following:

Prep: Making sauces, Cutting and marinating chicken, Cutting vegetables, Refilling drink machines, Wrapping up desserts and cornbread

Frying: Frying chicken and fries, tossing in sauce, passing to expo

Expediting: Finishing touches on food before handing off to the cashier

Cleaning: Cleaning drink machines and general areas (sweeping, mopping, wiping

tables, taking out the trash, etc.)

5 hour shifts 3-7 days/week will be requested a week in advance by the store GMs

Store hours are:

● Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 11 am - 11 pm

● Sunday: 12 pm - 10 pm

Dress Code: Plain black t-shirt (no big logos), black pants, black shoes (non-slip), black hat (or a hairnet will be provided)

Reliability is #1 for us, and we have a limited tolerance policy for lateness, you will not be rescheduled if you are over 15 minutes late more than once. We want to have you back, so please give yourself a 10 minute buffer! We have a zero tolerance policy for being on your phone during a shift, unless there is an emergency, please respect the team and check your phone at the end of the shift.
