Senior Interior Designer

A Manhattan-based Interior Design firm is seeking a Senior Interior Designer.

We are a boutique firm based in New York City, with projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hudson, Connecticut, Paris, and London. We are looking for an intelligent, kind, funny, and skilled designer to join our small team.

Requirements:

- 7+ years experience in high-end residential Interior design or Architecture

- Expertise in AutoCAD

- Skilled in Photoshop

- Expertise in space planning, furniture layouts, as wellas technical knowledge of the building and construction process

- Highly skilled at simultaneously managing multiple projects and deliverables

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to hand sketch is a plus

- Working knowledge of Google Drive and Dropbox

- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient with time managementand problem-solving skills

- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are not required, but helpful for job site visits, vendors, etc.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Drafting/detailing drawing sets for construction

- Drafting/detailing of Millwork for construction set, custom furniture and lighting

- Manage all phases of the design process from concept to completion; therefore,create and develop AutoCAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, etc. As well as documenting and drafting existing conditions

- Assist with client presentations (skilled at sourcing options for fabrics, furniture, artwork, plumbing, tile, lighting, etc.)

- Attend site visits with contractors and vendors and assist in overseeing work (construction, furniture and drapery installations, artwork installations, etc.)

- Clever with sourcing new products, vendors, etc.,

- Place orders, track items, and coordinate all deliveries

This contract position will require 30-40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, and will be in-person and remote.

The pay will be $35-55 per hour, commensurate with skill level.
