Actively recruiting an outgoing, responsible, self-sufficient full-time Junior Interior Designer to work on projects in the high-end boutique multi-residential and commercial industry with some office administrative work. We are a design studio with many projects in a fast-paced environment, so candidates must manage their time efficiently to meet all expected deadlines. Candidates will be involved in all phases of the design process, including the development of presentation packages, follow-up on all specification orders, communication between vendors, and any other design-related activity.

Additional office administration tasks will include the following:

1. Manage Excel worksheet tasks.

2. Coordinate package deliveries for each project assigned.

3. Manage phone calls between vendors, manufacturers, contractors, etc.

4. Maintain the office sample and virtual design library. Making sure all finishes are up to date with the latest design trends.

It is important and required that you are fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.

Requirements include:

Interior Design Degree from an accredited university.

Strong and concise writing and grammar (English as first language a requirement)

2-4 years of prior work experience is preferred.

Experience in AutoCAD required.

Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge in Photoshop is a plus.

Must have knowledge of finish materials and be able to coordinate with vendors to provide samples for the team.

Must have a prior understanding of budgeting a project, being conscious of the client’s overall project cost and timeframe.

Assist in sourcing and pricing furnishings, fabrics, lighting, products, and materials for the team in all phases of the project

Review vendor quotes/pricing, FF&E materials, and specs; support the interior team in completing and executing all deliverables for each project phase.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

It is essential the individual can work independently and as a member of a small team.

Coordinate and attend meetings with vendors, manufacturers, etc.
