Role Introduction / Overview: This position will involve driving alignment and achieving outcomes across the firm, working in conjunction with Finance, Treasury, Risk and Technology partners. Excellent communication skills are required to influence the wide range of audiences. This is a highly strategic role that requires strong leadership skills and a proven track record in delivering large, complex bodies of work.Business / Team Overview: The Finance Transformation Office in conjunction with the Function execution teams, is responsible for the successful delivery of complex regulatory and cross-business transformational Initiative(s) across the Finance function as part of Citi’s Transformation.Some of the key responsibilities in the role: Facilitates and guides strategic Treasury transformation execution in a fast-paced environment, to tight timelines. Supplements the Program Execution team with surge capacity, including in the definition of a strategic architecture and implementation of strategic data solutions, common processes, and integrated technology platforms, when needed. Facilitates and guides the review and re-planning efforts and recommends objectives, policies, and plans to get work back on track. Identifies opportunities to scale efficiencies and identify new ways of working. Escalates early when expectations are not being met or support is required and has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact to the function. Ensures risk reduction across the transformation by ensuring work is appropriately resourced, thoughtfully planned, focused on outcomes and has clear ownership. Frequently involved in a wide range of diverse activities that require strategic vision and analysis to solve issues. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Development Value: This role will provide exposure to senior leadership across Finance and the broader organization, give extensive exposure to critical areas of the Transformation and allow for the individual to help shape the future of the function.What knowledge, skills and experience we’ll need from you: 15+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required In depth knowledge of banking products/systems Knowledge of Treasury disciplines including Funding/Liquidity, Capital Planning and Interest Rate Risk Understanding of Recovery and Resolution Planning concepts, processes and key metrics Understanding of capital and financial markets Thorough knowledge of strategic direction of the Finance function and how Finance transformation contributes to achieving the objectives of the function Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
