One of the world's largest interdealer brokers of over-the-counter financial and commodity-related products currently seeks a motivated college graduate to work in their downtown New York office.
Responsibilities:
First point of contact for internal and external clients on issues relating to proprietary front-office systems
Test, comment on, and suggest new enhancements to proprietary systems
Training of users, both internal and external, either face-to-face or by telephone, in the various aspects of the proprietary systems
Day-to-day support for users, both internal and external, to ensure the continued smooth use of front-office systems
Maintenance of data (such as product, contract types, names of users, log-in rights, contact details, etc.) to ensure information is kept current
Liaison between desks and IT development to ensure system design, development, enhancements, and functionality are appropriate and beneficial
Testing of new functionality prior to release to ensure changes are bug and error-free
Provide dealing systems solutions to brokerage desks
Work with exchanges to verify trade accuracy and resolve trade discrepancies
Work with the finance team on any brokerage changes required
Work with exchange post-trade processing systems to resolve any issues
Assist client onboarding process
Develop a strong understanding of appropriate industry rules and regulations
Assist in the deal data collection process
Knowledge & expertise:
Entry Level-1 year of experience
Data sets, streams, and warehousing
Workflow optimization
Document processing
Foreign exchange and derivatives experience is a plus
Database modeling is a plus
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
Bachelor degree
Competent knowledge of IT
Equity / Financial market knowledge is a plus

Ability to balance work between several projects while providing support for existing applications as demanded by the business
