Experienced Boatyard Worker Needed!

Koehler Kraft Co. is seeking an experienced Boatyard Worker to join our small maritime crew! This person will

be assisting in the hauling & blocking of boats using slings and boat stands and will be performing basic

maintenance tasks on the vessels.

Koehler Kraft Company, Inc., established in 1938, is San Diego's oldest boatyard! We offer a full range of

services for all types of modern and classic boats. Our 25,000 square foot yard and 9,000 square foot shed

specializes in extensive refits of classic wooden yachts, produces custom-designed, cold-molded boats and

provides routine maintenance on yachts of all types. “We Fix Boats!”

Daily Responsibilities Include:

-Assisting in hauling & blocking boats using slings & boat stands

-Performing basic boat maintenance and repair tasks such as replacing zincs & thru hulls, fixing props etc.

-Sanding, grinding and pressure washing boats

-Prepping for and application of epoxy primer, bottom paint, etc.

-Performing minor facility & boatyard repair tasks

-Assisting with yard organization & clean-up

-Occasional woodworking and wood repair work

Job Requirements:

-Previous experience within a boatyard

-Knowledge of Hauling and Blocking of boats using slings and Boat Stands

-Boat Repair & Maintenance experience skills

-Personal tools & PPE

-Ability to do physical labor & potentially strenuous physical tasks

-Ability to safely climb ladders and step-stools

-Reliable transportation to and from Shelter Island location

$24 - $35 per Hour (Dependent on Experience)
