Facility Worker/Janitor Needed

About the Opportunity:

Coronado Ferry Landing is looking for a Janitor with a positive attitude and a team player who can work evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Successful candidates can stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment and work well within a team while keeping the property clean.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sanitizing and restocking of restrooms

Clean tables and chairs and arrange furniture around shopping center

Pick up trash throughout the property (common areas, parking lots, beach, walkways, dock, pier, trash enclosures)

Sweep sand off the boardwalk & sweep sidewalks

Empty trash bins and clean, detail trash enclosures

Pressure washing as needed

Clean trash and debris in water features

Clean ferry float from debris

Clean signage around the property

Remove graffiti

Clean outside windows throughout the landing

Clean patio furniture in the main office

Clean a medium-sized office space: take out trash, vacuum, clean restroom, and dust furniture as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:

Prior experience with cleaning & maintenance of commercial properties

Excellent organizational skills & effective prioritizing without prompting

Basic maintenance skills preferred

Great communication skills

Must be able to take direction

Dependable & reliable

Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Pre-employment physical and drug screening

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/pull/push 50lbs

Ability to bend, rotate and reach frequently

Ascending/descending stairs or ladders safely

Ability to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel

Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with job
