JOB DESCRIPTION:
Award winning NYC-based interior design company is seeking a full time in-house senior residential interior designer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of interior design firm experience, exceptional organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and enjoys collaborating in a team environment. They will also work independently with confidence, taking ownership of and responsibility for their projects, using their initiative and creative skills to problem solve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a full time Senior Designer, you will work directly with the Design Director to manage and lead projects with the team, developing interior design concepts, managing and creating technical documentation, developing design presentations, and interfacing with clients, artisans, artists, architects, and general contractors.
- Creation of Interior Design Drawings Sets that include floor plans, RCPs, and elevations in AutoCAD
- Developing project budgets and cost estimate reports
- Leading and managing multiple projects
- Generating scopes of work and managing the contractor bidding process
- Reviewing and coordinating RFIs and submittals with attention to detail
- Being a primary point of contact for clients, architects, and third party consultants
- Sourcing and specifying vintage and contemporary furniture, fabrics, lighting, art, objects, and accessories
- Overseeing development of presentations and presenting to clients
- Developing design intent shop drawings for custom millwork and interior architectural details.
- Managing client purchase proposals and procurement processes per ALD standards
- Knowledge of local and national architectural and building codes, including ADA requirements
- Overseeing the management and coordination of installations
- Overseeing site construction and progress as main point of contact for the general contractor
- Overseeing all project FF&E schedules and tracking all deliverables with the design team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited Interior Design program
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with excellent follow through
- High Proficiency in AutoCAD and full Adobe Suite
- Proficiency in Studio Designer
- Excellent knowledge of luxury finishes, high end showrooms, custom furniture fabrication
- Exceptional communication skills
- General Knowledge of local building codes and DOB permitting processes
- Experience with Sketch Up or other 3D rendering software is a benefit
