Security Site SupervisorWe are looking for a qualified Security Site Supervisor like you to join our Texas Health family.Position Highlights:· Work location: Texas Health Southwest- 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132· Work hours: Full-Time, DaysDepartment Highlights:· Security provides services 24/7 including vehicle escorts, patrols in building and in parking areas, response to service calls.Here’s What You Need:Education· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req· Associate's Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field or 2 Years Security supervisory experience in lieu of Associate's Degree Required.· Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field Preferred.Experience and Skills:· 2 Years Security and/or law enforcement supervisory experience Required.· 2 Years Healthcare or education security experience Preferred.· Excellent customer service skills.· Effective management skills and techniques.· Good verbal and written communication skills, evidenced by demeanor and previous training.· Basic computer skills with MS Office and other industry-driven software.· Knowledge of industry standards including but not limited to IAHSS, TJC, Medicare, OSHA, State of Texas DPS.· Knowledge of continuous improvement and change management.· Must possess the ability to physically defend and/or restrain people.· Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.Licenses and Certifications· DL - Driver’s License Class C and must be insurable Upon Hire Required And· CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 14 Days Required And· CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted).· Biannual recertification. 60 Days Required And· TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 60 Days Required And· ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days Required.What You Will Do:· Within assigned area of responsibility, manage the operation of the Texas Health System Security and Police force.· Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates, and manages the Texas Health System Security and Police operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel.· Identifies and analyzes the design of security positions, work processes, and workflows.· Examines and monitors security department staffing within assigned area to provide optimal levels.· Develops preventative security programs.· Provides for the supervision of security personnel.· Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal measures.· Serves as Texas Health's liaison with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies as it relates to security within assigned area.· Participates in the Texas Health Threat Assessment Team for assigned area and monitors for correct utilization.· Monitor key performance indicators for assigned area in support of Texas Health’s organization wide key performance indicators.· Serves as a member of the Texas Health Incident Management team as needed.· Serves in a primary or support leader for emergency management within the assigned area of responsibility.· Monitors and reports performance on approved physical security metrics.· Performs audits of security related performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security including security equipment condition.· Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of losses or violations of Texas Health physical security policies and procedures or state of Texas laws.· Prepares and provides cumulative security reports on routine and ad hoc basis.· Prepares and submits all required reports necessary for state of Texas licensure.· Assist with the developing and implementation of Texas Health Security and Police force training program.· Ensures department staff maintain required licensure.· Participates in the development and delivery of security related training for non-security department Texas Health employees.· Stays abreast of current and new industry standards to ensure effective training level maintained.· Promotes professional growth, development, and accountability in staff.· Assists with developing operating and capital budgets for assigned area of responsibility.· Manages the approved budget and adjusts strategies as needed to meet budgeting expectations.· Prepares budget performance reports for assigned area.· Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.· Locks and opens doors according to schedules.· Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.· Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.· Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.· Maintains compliance with Security policies.· Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.· Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.· Gives directions to areas of facility.· Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.· Provides vehicle assistance.· Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.Why Texas Health?At Texas Health, our people make this a great place to work every day.
