Job description

We are seeking a Jr. Accountant to assist with several of our divisions. This is a full-time position with remote opportunities. The focus will be on our Property Management company. Property Management/HOA Accounting experience is highly desirable. The position will also assist with A/R, A/P, and admin for several other divisions (time allowing).

Duties include but are not limited to:

Update Homeowner & Tenant Ledgers, ability to review for accuracy and make corrections when needed.

Process weekly accounts payable (process bill payments)/Coordinate with Vendors

Monthly reconciliations for multiple operating and reserve bank accounts

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and complete supporting schedules monthly.

Create and process adjusting journal entries.

Prepare monthly financial statements.

Review and update financial data keeping data accurate, relevant, and fully accessible by request.

Onboard and set up new HOA clients in our accounting software, complete onboarding checklist, follow up as needed.

Respond to email and telephone inquiries from HOA board members and owners.

Support budget process and create ad hoc financial analysis/reporting.

Interact with AR, AP and banking departments to ensure appropriate activity is complete, variances analyzed, and issues corrected.

Adhere to the accounting close checklist so that final reporting packages can be sent on time and accurately.

Perform necessary month-end duties (recording cash transfers, budget transfers and AR/AP journal entries, validate bad debt J/E adjustments, etc.)

Ability to review and understand financial statements/act as liaison to clients and property managers.

Audit monthly HOA invoices and assist in yearly HOA budget.

Assist with annual financial audit and Tax Preparation

Help senior Accountant with other kinds of accounting operations as needed.

Job Type: Full-time (remote)

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
