Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance industry, located in Rochester, New York. This role primarily involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. This is a long term contract employment opportunity which does not involve any transition into other types of employment.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records. Utilize accounting software systems to manage accounts payable. Ensure proper account coding within the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Familiarize with and utilize ADP - Financial Services for financial operations. Perform auditing tasks to ensure accuracy of financial records. Utilize the Concur system for expense management. Handle automated clearing house (ACH) transactions. Work with MS Great Plains Accounting and Great Plains (GPAC) for accounting functions. Manage accrual accounting tasks and ensure all accounting functions are performed effectively. Requirements Proficient in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems Expertise in ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Proficient in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in Auditing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) and MS Great Plains Accounting Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis Ability to handle high volumes of financial data and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
