This role will be focused on building core, common, and critical capabilities needed to lead yourself and others at NBCU. Our days regularly toggle between the big-picture planning and curation of our development experiences to examining the small details that make them a success.At the Core of this role, you will:
Serve as the primary project manager on multiple talent development experiences globally.
Design, develop and deliver individual contributor and leadership development experiences focused on driving ongoing career growth and development.
Use a variety of methods (face-to-face, virtual classrooms, blended learning, mobile learning, etc.) to develop and train employees at all levels of the organization.
Manage a portfolio of digital platforms and create core, common, and critical learning content, tools, videos, and guides that can be scaled across the organization.
Incorporate an inclusive design and facilitation approach that reflects NBCUniversal’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility; bring forward DEIA learning and development content.
Here’s what that will look like for you…
Help manage a suite of career growth and development experiences globally, including:
Ensure a high-quality end-to-end talent experience, project managing everything from timelines to scheduling to team meetings
Provide indirect leadership to team members working with you
Lead and facilitate experiences (both in-person and virtual)
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in instructional design
Onboard new facilitators by managing our train-the-trainer process
Perform ongoing needs analysis and research to inform content design and program facilitation
Evaluate experiences both quantitatively and qualitatively to continually make improvements
Create scalable solutions for the organization:
Support our digital learning platforms (LinkedIn Learning, internal SharePoint Site, Masterclass at Work, etc.) as a primary administrator
Curate and design best-in-practice tools and guides to stand alone and accompany labs
Create short learning videos via scriptwriting, recording and editing
Leverage different media and design elements to create memorable learning content
Manage early career professionals who take part in a rotational program – with a particular focus on their continuous growth and development in addition to their day-to-day management
Manage relationships across a variety of functions, business partners, and stakeholders both internally and externally (vendors)
Provide real-time advice to talent, support in-the-moment
Engage in coaching and consulting engagements as needed across NBCUniversal
Interpret and deliver leadership assessment results, such as: DISC, 360, Strengths Finder, etc.
Play in the “white space” – lead brainstorm sessions and execute on truly unique learning for new and existing experiences
Every week will be different, and you’ll play an important role developing our talent, which is at the heart of our success as a creative company.Basic Requirements:We’re a passionate team that moves quickly, so to jump on in, we’ll expect that you have:
At least 5+ years of experience with L&OD design and facilitation
Experience project managing complex learning experiences, regularly balancing multiple projects in various stages of design and delivery
Experiencedesigning for in-person and virtuallearning as well asvideo-based or online learningand have experience in multiple delivery modes
Experienceas a facilitator in virtual and in-person environments.
Experience leading and supervising interns and/or direct reports
Experience consulting with stakeholders to identify development needs and can design solutions to address them
Experience coaching individuals in-the-moment through leadership challenges and providing them feedback and guidance
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
A bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time
Desired Characteristics:You’ve put in more time developing yourself than the bare minimumand have developed further expertise in the talent, strategy, and designspace, which may include:
Amaster’sdegree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR, or an MBA
Experience with: LinkedIn Learning, SharePoint, LMS, video editing software, Articulate Rise, and Campaign Monitor
Experience working on diversity-related programs or initiatives
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
