Project Coordinator

A well established and growing residential renovation design build firm in business for over 35 years is seeking a full-time proactive, resourceful, detail-orientated and creative project coordinator to join our pre-construction team working on upper-level projects in the Boston and Greater-Boston area. Our pre-construction team is the initial representation of the company to our clients, and an important link to our subcontractors and vendors, so it is important that this candidate has excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to initiate scope and budget documents, assist clients with product selections, and work with vendors, subcontractors and the design team through the pre-construction process to bring the project to a permit-ready status. Requirements for the position include:

4-7 years’ experience in residential construction or a design-related position

The ability to listen to client needs and desires and convert to project goals

The ability to develop multiple projects at a time

Initiate project estimating and budgeting

Subcontractor bid solicitation and vetting

The ability to assist with development of project schedules

Familiarity with materials and methods utilized in residential construction

Understanding of construction process and terminology

Strong organizational, customer service, and communication (written & verbal) skills

Ability to work with both internal and external teams

Passion for keeping abreast of industry changes, new product developments, and current trends in design ideas

Comfortable with the use of technology to assist in project management and collaboration

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with Builder Trend and Revit a plus

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Willing to submit to a background check including a review of the applicant’s driving record
