Growing small business Tax and Accounting firm needs a smart, hardworking and friendly person to provide support to our Tax Department. This position plays a key role in getting new clients successfully onboarded, returns filed by deadlines and keeping the whole department running smoothly.
Prior experience working in Tax/Accounting is a huge plus, but we will also provide training to the right candidate.
To be a great fit for this position, you must be able to:
Act as a liaison between clients and our tax preparers
Speak with clients over the phone and on Zoom, and have a friendly attitude that also translates to written communications
Get needed information from clients and walk them through how to provide it if needed and be OK with sometimes having to explain it more than once
Accurately enter data into tax software
Keep lots of schedules going at once and make sure no deadlines ever get missed (even the ones we didn't know about :)
Help us come up with new ideas on how the process can run better and be invested in helping us continually improve
Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree
1-2 years experience in a Customer Service role
Tech savvy (Dropbox, Excel, Adobe)
Detail oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
1 or more years working in a Tax practice or accounting office preferred
Experience working with ProConnect tax software is a huge plus
This position is full time, Monday to Friday 8-4:30 at our Carlsbad office starting immediately, but flexible start date for the right candidate. Clear background check required prior to start, eVerify participating employer.
