Poultry Farm Manager
Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Poultry Farm Manager to oversee our startup operations, ensuring top-tier quality in poultry production while driving sales and profitability. This role demands a hands-on approach to farm management, personnel leadership, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Farm Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of farm startup and maintenance, including facility upkeep, infrastructure development, and environmental management such as drainage and irrigation systems.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and poultry stock, ensuring optimal levels for operational efficiency.
Poultry Production: Direct the poultry growing process, focusing on health, growth, and quality through effective feeding, disease control, and environmental management practices.
Human Resources: Handle all employee-related activities including recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance with labor laws, including H2A visa processes.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of employment, sales, purchases, and production metrics.
Safety and Efficiency: Ensure that all farm activities are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to both industry standards and company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and manage diverse personalities effectively.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Experience: Preferably 5-10 years in poultry farming or a related agricultural field.
Language: Bilingual skills are advantageous.
Job Details:
Type: Full-time
Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for nights and weekends as needed. Year-round position.
Relocation: Ability to relocate near the farm location in Raiford, Florida is necessary.
