Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in multiple areas, including the wood shop, shipping department, final assembly, and warehouse operations. This position is essential to ensuring smooth operations across departments and supporting the timely production and delivery of our products.
Key Responsibilities-
Wood Shop Assistance:
Assist with basic woodworking tasks, such as sanding, cutting, and preparing materials.
Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials in the wood shop.
Support skilled workers with various tasks as needed.
Shipping Department Support:
Pack and label products for shipment according to company standards.
Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
Ensure that shipping areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
Final Assembly:
Assist with the final assembly of products, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Perform quality checks on assembled products before packaging.
Help troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues.
Warehouse Operations:
Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse.
Assist with stock counts and inventory management.
Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
Ability to handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
Flexibility to assist in different departments as required.
Key Skills:
Basic understanding of woodworking or manufacturing processes.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
