Sales & Customer Service - Entry Career Position

Completion of the training period successfully leads to permanent Customer Service Representative/ Sales Agent position. Once licensed an increase in wages and significant sales commissions can really help boost your bi-weekly income.
Key things you will learn to jump start your insurance career: To learn all the terminology and skills necessary to assist Agents and clients. Understanding of the need and use of insurance to mitigate and transfer financial risk both personally and commercially. Personal and commercial Insurance terminology, function, maintenance and use of Agency Management System, familiarity expertise in use of multiple insurance carrier websites for providing client service and completing sales quotes and forms to complete sales. Use of industry forms and applications for commercial sales and service. Learn the basics in how to market insurance and communicate the value of insurance to clients. Learn how to contact carrier underwriters and communicate with them to get the answers you need to provide coverage or get approvals completed and service problems solved. Learn the insurance client billing and how to answer client billing and coverage questions. Learn how to quote and sell and process auto, home, business, life, health insurance by working with existing staff. Get licensed ( training class to pass the test provided at own expense but reimbursed when passed).
Key Skills needed or to be developed:
1. Good technology skills including maintenance and use of office products, ability to type accurately and quickly, work on several different issues concurrently on different windows, solve basic technology issues by calling tech support for help with websites, computers, agency management system etc.
2. Ability to learn to communicate insurance concepts clearly and accurately with clients, underwriters and agents and how to encourage clients to take the action necessary to complete transactions. Learn to hear the specific instruction given and be able to follow that instruction accurately.
3. Learn the basic info needed to have a basis of understanding to take the property and casualty and or life and disability tests through the State of Wash. (with pay increase once passed)
4. Learn and show aptitude for consultative selling; helping client select the best choices for them. (full training provided)
